A: Unfortunately yes. Mason County is plagued with the highest rate of teenage pregnancies in Illinois north of Springfield. IDPH data shows Teen pregnancy rates of 16.9% of all live births in 2006. Reducing Teenage Pregnancy was selected as a primary goal in the community needs assessment and plan completed in 2008
