Protecting your health matters — and knowing your status is an important step. The Mason County Health Department provides confidential testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV.
Services Offered:
- Urine test for chlamydia & gonorrhea (GC/CT): $20
- Rapid HIV test: $20
- Additional STI testing: Prices vary and may be higher.
Insurance & Payment:
- We bill Medicaid and private insurance when possible.
- Our staff can help you apply for Family Planning coverage through the State of Illinois.
- Payment is required for self-pay clients.
What to Expect:
- All testing is confidential, but you will need to bring a photo ID to your appointment.
- Appointments are required – call us to schedule.
- In Illinois, anyone 12 years and older can receive STI testing and treatment without parental consent.
